reaching 30 soooooooooooooooooooooon

I was working in an aesthetic centre previously and I have seen many women (and even men) getting botox and filler treatment. All I saw on them, at that time is INSECURITIES. Insecurities with their look and not so visible wrinkles. And now im hitting 30 in few more years, and I’m worried if I will be one of this botox- filler hunting group…HELPPPPP ME!!!!!!!!!!!
One claimed women feel their most beautiful at 29, and the other found ladies start seriously worrying about the effects of ageing just before hitting the big 3-0.
At 28 I may as well find a paper bag to whack over my head and move into a darkened room, because according to this research I should be feeling slightly over the hill, stressing about my frown lines and looking pretty rough too (no comment).

For anyone celebrating their thirtieth soon it’s not all doom and gloom. In fact your thirties are a pretty good place to be, and this is why:

1. Your 30th birthday – let’s start with the day itself. The best things about turning 30. I’m talking LOADS of presents here. If no one get you any gift, get yourself a gift for yourself, for all the achievements you have achieved so far. It’s a BIG birthday and that means more presents than you’ve ever had, it’s also a chance to celebrate multiple times because it’s a mega milestone in your (up-until-now) youthful life. This is the last birthday you can legitimately get legless, dance on tables like a nutter and wear outfits designed for teenagers.

2. Mind of a woman, body of a girl
Imagine all those fashion mistakes you could have avoided if you had your 30-year-old wisdom. (You’re wiser in your thirties, but you still look hot and your body is intact. and you’re a haggard version of your 29-year-old self, constantly fretting over your impending hip problems, false teeth and grey hairs – pull  yourself together woman! I certainly wish I’d known what I know now when in my 20s. Just think how that wisdom may have saved you from a cocktail of weird boyfriends, experimentation with vile fashions and that time you thought it was clever to

3. There are plenty of attractive and stylish 30-plus year olds
You’re joining the ranks of Beyonce, Kate Middleton, Jessica Biel, Britney, Paris and Kim K. None of them morphed into Barbara Windsor or Miss Marple lookalikes once they left their 20s. Sure, there may be a bit of Botox flying around when celebs reach their 30s, but ‘30 is so the new 19’ in Hollywood.

4. People take you more seriously
If you were getting divorced, suing someone or making a will wouldn’t you trust the 35-year-old solicitor over the 25-year-old straight from training? Exactly. The same applies with everything – a more mature hairdresser seems more trustworthy with scissors, and imagine a Prime Minister in his or her mid twenties – parliament would be filled with debates about the best places for nights out and the price of a pint.

5. You still have 10 years until you’re 40
At least you’re not 40, which I’m guessing looks like this, right? And that’s really old.

6. You’ve got all the mundane things in life over with driving test
You’ve got all the ‘grown-up stuff” out the way so now you can just enjoy it. You’ve probably passed your driving test, climbed the career ladder, maybe settled down with someone and saved for a deposit by the time you’re 30. All the ‘stuff’ most of us end up doing that takes its sweet time will likely be over and done with. This means your thirties are a free pass to do more interesting and random things – skydiving, dog breeding, rodeo riding, flying a plane and circus training ……for example.

7. You’re a decade closer to retirement

You might love working and adore your job now, but you can’t beat the thought of retiring to a hot country and drinking wine in the sun, right? Don’t worry, you’re nearly (ish) there – even if the retirement age is bumped up to 80 in coming years, you’re still considerably closer than you were at 21! Bonus.
